We want to thank everyone for helping the firefighter with their deductible. We are humbled and thankful to be able to pay it thanks to all of you.

This is the part of su***de prevention that gets overlooked. ACCESS to QUALITY care and the stumbling blocks like out of pockets and deductibles. We see this a lot. We can get someone to where they will get the best care for suicidal ideation in an environment with other first responders then insurance gives the amount of their out of pocket or deductibles or a lot times….insurance won’t cover it at all.

We are so thankful for the support of all of you who are willing to step in to save a life! If you donated, you may never see their face, but know someone Is here TODAY because you chose to help. So thank you!

Yesterday, we had an emergency situation with an out of state firefighter who was suicidal. We opted to go ahead and help pay for them get to a specialized first responder facility. After insurance, and help from Andrew Starnes and Next Rung, this FF still owes $1250. We have to pay that ASAP. We could not wait to place them. If anyone wants to help with that, we are accepting donations towards the $1250. If anyone wants to help save a life, you can donate here or via Venmo or PayPal to our tax deductible nonprofit to go towards their treatment. Help save a life today. You may not get to see them, but know they are going to be here tomorrow because of you.e

We had a great time at the WV Asset conference. Andy Starnes had an absolutely incredible presentation, “The Ultimate House Fire-YOURS.” It covered topics most presenters avoid. An absolute must for first responders.

Armor Up WV had a table set up at the conference. We did multiple therapy referrals for first responders who requested them. We are so excited to see a shift in how we handle mental health. First responders are requesting referrals in the open at events. This is wonderful! Thank you to people like Andy Starnes and Heather Brown for normalizing taking care of our mental health by speaking openly about the benefits of seeking resources. Also thank you to everyone at WV Asset and Brian Potter for having us!

Having a great time at the ASSET Conference at Canaan. We have done multiple referrals as well as spoken to a lot of great first responders about mental health resources. We are so excited to see this shift towards taking care of the mental health of our first responders.
