Soroptimist International Southern Region We invest in the dreams of women and girls,, through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.

Our Southern Region has 14 clubs in five states, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee as well as Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. Soroptimist International is a worldwide organization working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women and girls. The word Soroptimist comes from the Latin words soro meaning “sister” and optima meaning “best”, and loosely transl

ates as “best for women”. The first club was founded October 3, 1921, in Oakland, California with 80 professional and business women. The Oakland, California Club is still active and known as the Founders Club.

Ok. It is crunch time!!!! Thank you ladies for helping with the packing list. This week we are going deeper. We will hear from our Presidents at Conference but I want to hear from everyone! What do you think is the secret sauce for a strong club. This is big so it has a big reward. We are drawing 5 names for $20 each. So, go ahead and spill the beans.
