The Finnish Lyme Borreliosis
Association was founded in
1998 to help patients and
their families deal with Lyme
disease. Our aim is also to
support preventive measures
and the development and
improvement of treatments. Our organisation seeks to provide
information on Lyme disease and
the coinfections that ticks trans-
mit to humans and animals. One
of our most important missions
is to r

aise awareness in order to
prevent new infections. Our forms of activity include
maintaining our website and fo-
rum. We organise meetings and
trainings for our members and
publish the member magazine. In addition, we have a telephone
service that offers advice and
support regardless of member-
ship. The organisation offers its
members diverse opportunities
for peer support. Our operations are based on
volunteers and the organisation
does not have any paid employ-
ees.
