SIGN THE PETITION!
11. 13. 15.
The ages Merveille Ansiima was r***d by her stepfather, a pastor who hid behind the church and threatened his victims into silence.
She spoke. Her family didn’t believe her. Two more survivors have since come forward. There are still children under his roof.
We are calling for a full independent investigation, protection for Merveille and other potential victims, and real accountability.

What courts ruled in 2019 is now written into law: that love was never illegal.

These laws were never ours. They were inherited from colonizers — and one by one, they are being undone.

Across Africa, the work continues. At Afrinalia, we walk alongside LGBTQ+ communities and survivors every day, because legal milestones matter, and so does the safety that still needs to follow.

85% of sexual violence survivors never report. Never reach a hospital. Never see justice.
For q***r and le***an women in Kenya and Uganda, the barriers go even deeper stigma, criminalization, and the fear of being doubly exposed.
This is why survivor-led spaces exist. This is why visibility matters.
If you need support, we see you. 🧡

Le***an visibility isn’t just about being seen. It’s about being safe, being well, and knowing your existence is worth protecting.
This week and every week, we stand with le***an, q***r, and sapphic women across Kenya and Uganda. Your health matters. Your story matters. You matter.
Happy Le***an Visibility Week. 🧡🏳️‍🌈
