Bridge Over Colored Water
Story behind Oil Paintings

Years ago, I painted the 16"Hx12"W version (upper left) on location. A few years later, I painted the 60" tall studio painting I sold this weekend.
While helping a fellow artist from the train tracks down a slope to the creek, I noticed the colors in the creek - reflected blue, and oranges glowing through the water. I set up my easel and stood on a bridge pier with my head below slowly passing tourist trains above.

Join the fun. May 2 Train ride through the Tiffany Bottoms. Morning train leaves at 7:30 and returns at noon. Includes bird guides, speakers and a hot brat lunch. The afternoon ride leaves at 1:00 and returns at 5:00. Includes speakers and a snack. Print out registration form at our website "wingsoveralma.org".

Not too early to sign up. Wings Over Alma is now accepting registrations for our spring train rides. Two rides on May 2, 2026. The morning train leaves at 7:30 and returns at noon. This is a great opportunity to enjoy nature and view an assortment of birds and wildlife. We have a bird guide that will point out different species. A hot brat lunch is included.

In the afternoon, the train leaves at 1:00 and returns at 5:00. Great chance to enjoy a leisurely ride through the Tiffany Bottoms on the historic train. A snack is provided.
