Making a difference in our community
As a local nature and event photographer, Lynda Williams became involved with local non-profits. Through these involvements, she developed a desire to help raise the profiles of these organizations in the community.
While promoting Sing For Your Life, a high school choir festival fundraiser, on the morning radio program at KSCO in February, 2018, she and colleague Julie Jordan began wondering how she could use her emerging radio personality to benefit other community organizations. Within hours, Bay Area Non-Profit News was born.
We will officially launch before the end of March, 2018. We will be regularly featuring local Santa Cruz County non-profits, along with covering their events with live video and photos, as well as significant milestones as they happen. You’ll find out what they do and how they’re changing the community for the better. You’ll learn about upcoming events, and how you can get involved!
