We have appointments with the staff for Senators Murkowski and Sullivan and Congressman Young on May 4th (in Anchorage) for our annual Mother's Day- Peace Deserves a Piece of the Pie Event! Wanna join us? Let us know and we'll be happy to include you. We will be speaking with them about the Youth PROMISE Act, the Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act and The Department of Peacebuilding.

The Peace Alliance empowers civic engagement toward a culture of peace. We are an alliance of organizers and advocates throughout the United States taking the work of peacebuilding from the margins of society into the centers of national discourse and policy priorities.

So excited to report that Senator Lisa Murkowski became the second Republican to sign on as a co-sponsor of the Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act! Our team visited with her in Washington DC last fall and brought the bill to her attention. Instrumental in the process was deputy chief of staff Nathan Bergerbest too. Please, if you're willing, take a moment to send an email thanking her. It's important peacekeeping legislation that is just what this world needs right now!
