☕️ Connect, Share, and Grow! ☕️

How do we hold space for a client's past without getting stuck in it? While therapy heals the past, coaching often needs to understand it to unlock the future. This informal coffee chat is a space for practitioners to discuss the nuances of exploring a client’s history. Bring your insights and questions as we unpack how to use past patterns as data for future progress, maintain clean ethical boundaries, and co-create forward momentum. Facilitator: Robin Ferguson, MCC

When first learned about our Coaching over Coffee events, she had a...strong reaction. 😅

But as she shares in this clip, there's no better place to be nervous than with people who get it. We continue to be grateful for our ICF Heartland community for making it feel safe to show up, and for helping Ashley gain the confidence to say yes to giving us a live coaching demonstration last Friday, May 15.

Here's to doing the scary thing in good company. 🙌

The coaching market has changed. And honestly? It's exciting. 🌱

During her "State of Coaching" conversation on May 11, President Teresa Schwab, MCC, Leadership Coach shared reflections on how the coaching landscape continues to shift. A big part of her message was that we just have to keep showing up, staying current, and having real conversations.

As we have seen over the course of this International Coaching Week, ICF Heartland members are dedicated to creating space to navigate change together. Thank you for celebrating with us!

What happens when someone truly sees themselves clearly for the first time?

For International Coaching Week, ICF Heartland member Tony Brooks, a leadership coach, shares what lights him up most about this work: watching a client discover something new about themselves and step into possibilities they hadn't considered before.

This is why we coach. Hit play. ▶️

Happy ICW to our Wichita-area coaches!

International Coaching Week started with coffee, conversation and connection. ☕

Wichita-area coaches spent time together yesterday with members of ICF Heartland Chapter for KS/MO, including KLC faculty and staff -- Tim Link (MCC), Dr. Joyce McEwen Crane (MCC & ACTC) and Seth Bate (PCC) -- alongside alumni of the KLC Leadership Coach intensive.

Coaching can expand how people listen, learn & support growth in others. It was meaningful to see this community gathered together to kick off the week.

This International Coaching Week, we're celebrating the coaches who show up for the people who pour into everyone else. 💙

Madison Huber-Smith, health and wellness coach and ICF Heartland member, shares what it means to work alongside parents — and why that work fills her up just as much as it supports them.

Take a moment and watch. We think you'll feel it too.

🎉 Happy International Coaching Week! 🎉

Last year as a chapter, we offered more than 800 hours of pro bono coaching in our respective communities. As we kick off ICW, we’d like to invite our members (and beyond) to help us in doing it again!

Whether you’re already offering pro bono sessions or want to do more, this is your chance to extend coaching to someone who may never have experienced it, offer support where it’s truly needed, and be part of a collective ripple effect in honor of our profession

Reach out to someone outside your usual circles! This could be a community leader, a nonprofit worker, a college student, or someone going through a life transition. (Try to avoid close family and friends unless there’s a clear need.)

Additionally, we would ask you to share this post with coaches outside our ICF Heartland community. Let’s extend our impact as far as possible!

As you complete these sessions, you can record the information here: https://forms.gle/GgohEYYb6HyWanSz8. We ask that you complete all sessions and submissions by Sunday, Nov. 2, and we will celebrate the completion of this project at our chapter event in November!

To mark the start of ICW 2026, the ICF Heartland chapter is launching our second annual pro-bono coaching initiative. Coaches are encouraged to offer at least one 30-minute pro-bono coaching session before our chapter event on November 8. Please use this form to capture information and reflections a...
