What's on our mind?? BARGAINING! The next session is Thursday, April 17, located at IMPACT Alamance, 133 E. Davis St. Burlington, NC near Elon. A planning caucasus will start at 9 or 10 am before the meeting. If you are adjunct faculty, your presence is strongly requested!

Contact President Susan Ladd (Journalism Department) or Vice President Mark Iwinski (Art Department) for more details. We are in the final meetings where compensation is on the table along with other issues. If you want your voice to be heard or if you want change - you have to show up! This could be completed before May. There won’t be another negotiation for 3 years so let’s make it happen now!

After the National Labor Relations Board reaffirmed the non-tenure track faculty members’ right to unionize, Elon University’s Academic Council and chapter of the Association of American University Professors both released statements urging the university to begin bargaining with the union.

The university's not-so-secret war against its adjuncts got some front page exposure at Elon (4/17/2024). This is only one of many issues that the union has brought forth. The university spokesperson declined to be interviewed but insisted this was "best practices....". They won't be interviewed because they don't want to admit that this university is blatantly anti-union.
