Our Story

Hermanos Unidos was established on December 12th, 1989 - with one goal in mind: to retain Latino students on campus. We established three main pillars to do so: Academic Excellence, Community Engagement, and Social Networking. Each of these pillars is upheld consistently throughout the semester through networking events with organizations across the UC Berkeley campus, meaningful community service events such as our traditional Brown Bags of Hermandad, or even our weekly study night sessions. We strive to create a space where Latino students can feel comfortable and safe, all the while embracing our cultural backgrounds. Fuerza en la Hermandad!
