Στο φετινό Psarokokalo ISFF, παρουσιάζουμε το "GOD IS SHY" του Jocelyn Charles. Κατά τη διάρκεια ενός ταξιδιού με τρένο, ο Ariel και ο Paul σχεδιάζουν τους βαθύτερους φόβους τους για να περάσει η ώρα. Το παιχνίδι τους παίρνει μια απρόσμενη τροπή όταν η Gilda, μια μυστηριώδης συνεπιβάτις, παρεμβαίνει. Η δική της σχέση με τον φόβο, όμως, μοιάζει πολύ λιγότερο αθώα από τα δικά τους σχέδια.

At this year's Psarokokalo ISFF, we present "GOD IS SHY" by Jocelyn Charles. During a train ride, Ariel and Paul sketch their deepest fears to pass the time. Their game takes an unexpected turn when Gilda, a mysterious passenger, intrudes. Unlike their playful drawings, her relationship with fear is far more unsettling.

Jocelyn Charles, a Gobelins alumnus and director of music videos for The Weeknd and L’Impératrice, crafts a singular visual universe. Working with the renowned Remembers studio, he blends sophisticated drawing skills with a gripping narrative, exploring the thin line between imagination and reality in this dark, atmospheric short film.

Μέσα σε μία μόνο νύχτα, η René πλοηγείται στη ζωντανή αλλά επισφαλή ζωή της ως Βραζιλιάνα μετανάστρια στη Λισαβόνα. Ανάμεσα σε νυχτερινές συναντήσεις και q***r πάρτι, καλείται να επιλέξει ανάμεσα στην παράνομη παραμονή σε μια πόλη που γίνεται ξένη και την επιστροφή σε μια πατρίδα από την οποία κάποτε δραπέτευσε.

Μετά την πρεμιέρα του στο Ρότερνταμ (IFFR) και τη βράβευσή του στο Go Short, το φιλμ της Stephanie Ricci είναι ένας βαθύς στοχασμός πάνω στην ταυτότητα, την q***r ελευθερία και το ανήκειν. Στο Διεθνές Διαγωνιστικό Τμήμα, παρουσιάζουμε το "You Tryna Say You Love Me?" του Ty Molbak. Ένα μεταμεσονύκτιο διάλειμμα για διάβασμα μεταρίζεται σε κάτι πολύ βαθύτερο, όταν ένας συντετριμμένος από το πένθος αθλητής κολεγίου εμπιστεύεται την κοπέλα που έχει ερωτευτεί στο μάθημα της φιλοσοφίας.

Η ταινία ζωντανεύει μέσα από τις καθηλωτικές ερμηνείες δύο κορυφαίων ανερχόμενων ταλέντων του Χόλιγουντ. Starring as "Jerrod," Emmy nominee Asante Blackk (When They See Us, This Is Us, Euphoria) brings a profound, quiet intensity to a young man wrestling with grief. ΑΣΤΙΚΗ ΠΡΟΟΔΟΣ, ΙΘΑΓΕΝΕΙΣ ΜΝΗΜΕΣ & Η ΕΛΕΓΕΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΘΑΛΑΣΣΑΣ 🛶🌊🏗️
Στο φετινό Psarokokalo ISFF, στην ενότητα Αρχιτεκτονική & Περιβάλλον, παρουσιάζουμε το "LOST SONGS OF SUNDARI" του Sudarshan Sarjerao Sawant. Το Μουμπάι, κάποτε ένα σύμπλεγμα χωριών ενωμένων με τη θάλασσα, μεταμορφώνεται ραγδαία. Η "πρόοδος" όμως απαιτεί μια θυσία: τον αφανισμό των Kolis, των ιθαγενών που ζούσαν σε απόλυτη αρμονία με το νερό.

Μέσα από τον μύθο της Sundari —ενός θρυλικού φέρι-μπόουτ— και τις μαρτυρίες τριών γενεών, η ταινία εξερευνά πώς η αστικοποίηση αποσυνδέει τις κοινότητες από τις ρίζες τους. Ο σκηνοθέτης, απόφοιτος του FTII και βραβευμένος sound designer, δημιουργεί μια συναισθηματική ελεγεία για όλα όσα χάνονται κάτω από το τσιμέντο των σύγχρονων μεγαλουπόλεων.

URBAN PROGRESS, INDIGENOUS MEMORIES & THE ELEGY OF THE SEA 🇮🇳✨
At this year's Psarokokalo ISFF, within the Architecture & Environment section, we present "LOST SONGS OF SUNDARI" by Sudarshan Sarjerao Sawant. Mumbai, once a cluster of villages connected by the sea, is being reshaped by massive infrastructure projects. This development, however, demands the burial of the old world and its indigenous Koli people.

Following the myth of Sundari—a legendary ferryboat—and the perspectives of three generations, the film explores how urbanization disconnects communities from their traditions. The director, an FTII graduate and award-winning sound designer, crafts an emotional elegy for the histories left behind in the shadow of relentless progress.

NEW BEAT ΠΥΡΕΤΟΣ & ΜΙΑ ΧΑΜΕΝΗ ΑΓΑΠΗ ΣΤΟ ΒΡΥΞΕΛΛΕΣ ΤΟΥ '89 🇧🇪🏙️🎶

Στο Διεθνές Διαγωνιστικό Τμήμα Μυθοπλασίας, ταξιδεύουμε πίσω στο χρόνο με το "A Sky So Low" του Joachim Michaux. Βρυξέλλες, Νοέμβριος 1989. Ενώ η Ευρώπη αλλάζει, ο Victor βυθίζεται στη νύχτα αναζητώντας την Elina, τον χαμένο καλοκαιρινό του έρωτα. Μαζί με έναν αινιγματικό Άγγλο δημοσιογράφο και μια punk Ολλανδέζα barmaid, παρασύρονται από τον υπνωτικό ρυθμό της New Beat σκηνής.

Έχοντας θητεύσει δίπλα σε θρύλους όπως ο Béla Tarr, ο Joachim Michaux παραδίδει ένα ατμοσφαιρικό, neon-noir οδοιπορικό για τη νοσταλγία, την απώλεια και την ηλεκτρισμένη ατμόσφαιρα μιας εποχής που έσβηνε.

In this year’s International Fiction Competition, we present "A Sky So Low" by Joachim Michaux. Brussels, November 1989. As the world shifts, Victor searches for Elina, his vanished summer love, through the neon-lit haze of the city, accompanied by an enigmatic English journalist and a punkish Dutch barmaid.

Influenced by masters like Béla Tarr and Bruno Dumont, Michaux crafts a stunning, moody debut that perfectly blends underground 80s club culture with the electric melancholy of the urban night.

Στο Διεθνές Διαγωνιστικό Τμήμα Μυθοπλασίας, παρουσιάζουμε το πολυσυζητημένο "Oh Boys" του Antonio Donato, το οποίο έκανε την παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα του στο περίφημο Quinzaine des Cinéastes (Δεκαπενθήμερο των Σκηνοθετών) του Φεστιβάλ Καννών 2026. Σε ένα παραθαλάσσιο χωριό, η ανδρική υπερηφάνεια ξεδιπλώνεται μέσα από τρεις ιστορίες: μουσικοί που ανταγωνίζονται για την πρωτιά, ένας τουρίστας που προσπαθεί απεγνωσμένα να εντυπωσιάσει την κοπέλα του και ένας παίκτης πινγκ-πονγκ που έρχεται αντιμέτωπος με μια ταπεινωτική ήττα από ένα μικρό κορίτσι. Όλα ανατρέπονται όταν ένας νεαρός σαξοφωνίστας αποφασίζει να σπάσει τα δεσμά του ανταγωνισμού και να παίξει κόντρα στο ρεύμα.

In this year’s International Fiction Competition, we present "Oh Boys" by Antonio Donato, fresh from its World Premiere at the prestigious Quinzaine des Cinéastes (Directors’ Fortnight) at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. In a small coastal village, three stories of masculine pride unfold: local musicians competing for virtuosity, a tourist desperately trying to impress his girlfriend, and an amateur ping pong player facing defeat by a young girl. Everything shifts when a young saxophonist decides to break free from the village's competitive spirit and play against the flow.

A graduate of the London Film School and one of Europe’s most exciting emerging talents, Milan-based director Antonio Donato delivers a brilliant, multi-layered reflection on wounded pride and toxic expectations. "Oh Boys" explores the weight of a patriarchal society that demands constant performance from men, culminating in a beautiful cinematic fantasy: what would happen if men were truly free from the need to prove their worth?
