PSEA-Staff Organization The PSEA-SO is a union representing the Professional and Associate Staff of PSEA.

PSEA Staff Organization (SO) is recognized as the bargaining unit representative of the associate and professional employees of PSEA. As such, the SO represents its members in matters of collective bargaining, contract enforcement, and job related concerns. The governance structure of the SO allows us to be available whenever our members need us. We are configured to include executive officers and election district representatives. The SO Executive Committee and Representative Council meet at least six times each year.

Many of us who went to the NEA-RA when Reg was President of NEA will remember his amazing laugh - “Heh, heh, heh…” often followed by “People, people, people… now, now, now.” His obituary is worth a read. Rest in power, Reg.

It is with great sadness that we share former IEA President Reginald “Reg” Weaver, trailblazer for collective bargaining rights in Illinois, passed away on Tuesday at 86.

Reg was an absolute legend. He had a gift at bringing people together and helped transform our union into the powerful force it is today. Reg was the first Black president of the IEA, serving from 1981 to 1987. He later went on to serve as president of the National Education Association, from 2002 to 2008.

Veteran staff leader Jackie Riggins of Pennsylvania has been appointed to the NSO Executive Committee as Region 2 director. President Brad Darjean praised the appointment, saying he noticed a steadfast unionism in Riggins which made her the top candidate for the job. FULL STORY ⬇️
