Welcome to the Central New York Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. Formed in 1989 by conservationists, anglers, hunters, and nature lovers, the Central New York Chapter has worked to conserve, maintain, protect, and restore central New York's soil, air, woodlands, waters, and wildlife. Chapter member Cheryl Matt got a cool photo of a blue heron and a mink in the same frame. The blue heron was on the shoreline of Oneida Lake, south shore. A mink came along the shoreline, passed the bird, continued down the lake, found something to eat, and brought it back in his mouth up the shore line.

With perfect weather, delicious food, and lots of laughter, our CNY Chapter held our Annual Picnic / Meeting at Mill Run Park in Manlius. All sitting officers were re-elected for another year and plans were made to reconvene for monthly meetings in September.
