Remember this:
When you have children you have to encourage them to take risks because they have to grow up and take their place in the world. You can’t protect them too much because if you do you’ll destroy them. You don’t want your father to do everything for you, that’s for sure. And so there’s a certain amount of harshness that goes along with that because you have to separate yourself from them and allow them to make hurtful mistakes. I mean it’s very difficult if your a compassionate person, to stand back far enough to let your children take necessary risk.

It’s times like these that help with the loss, pain and emptiness. God you’ve allowed so much to be taken away but you’ve replaced without taking place. I sometimes feel guilty for having and it weighs heavy to know but I push further just because I’ve learned to grow while still in pain. It’s such a love hurt relationship that I’m striving through. And this next journey… well only you know where this ids leading to! But thank you!

We would’ve loved to have celebrated you here during Mother’s Day but your rest from this world is more than deserved. No, it is not a complication or nuance. It’s just complete recklessness with other people’s lives and a lack of empathy to have a jail that incarcerates for long stays while innocent until proven guilty.
In fact it’s completely inhumane to even justify why spending and money trumps care for human life!
18 people murdered on Rikers Island in one year or any amount of years is an epic failure on the behalf of the state, city and they system run off tax dollars. Let’s not forget that those that lost their lives were there past the legal right to hold them in the first place!

I am experiencing toooo much here in NYC! If I don’t leave soon I think something tragic will happen. I can’t believe my freaking luck (unluck). I just got attacked by this f**ker on the train with a damn shank while coming home from work. Freaking insane. At first the NYPD saw him being aggressive on the platform while he works out in the station at 125th st., they [police] even stopped him. But, they let him go so this fool gets on the 2 train and runs up on Me with the shank in hand telling me he will kill me for setting him up and that he doesn’t mind going to jail. He rants on and on getting more delusional as he taunts me with this weapon and paces back and forth while he fights with the thought of murder. Knowing that the police knew how aggressive and mentally ill he was/is I knew at that point that I was a set up. The police had the opportunity to take this man off the street and get him away from harming anyone however they let him go and I became the consequence. I never ever knew this guy and now I’m defending myself to a lunatic with a weapon. I almost lost my life or would’ve been forced to take a life today as I left work to get my son. 😞
