That smile. 🥰
Today is World Leukemia Day, a day I obviously wish we knew nothing about
Remi was diagnosed with T-cell leukemia (T-ALL) last June, at just 2 years old. I’ve watched him fight through treatment, reach remission, and make it all the way to maintenance phase. In July, we found out his leukemia was back.
Now, we’re preparing for the biggest part of his fight yet, a bone marrow transplant.
Leukemia has completely changed our lives. It’s taught us more about labs, medication, transfusions, bone marrow, more than we ever wanted to know. It’s taken away so many normal things from Remi’s childhood.
Through it all, Remi is still him. Keeping everyone on their toes & still smiling through the hardest days.
So today, we stand TALL for our boy and for every other family who knows this life
I’ll keep posting his journey, advocating, sharing local blood drives, encouraging people to join the registry & supporting research until kids like Remi have better options.
