At 9:41 this morning, our sweet sister Karen “Firefly” peacefully passed surrounded by love. 💚

She was not alone.

In her final moments, one hand was being held, another rested over her heart, and “Bye Bye Miss American Pie” was softly being sung to her as she took her last breath.

There are no words big enough for the heartbreak this family is feeling right now. But there is also so much gratitude for every prayer, every visit, every meal, every message, every donation, every memory shared, and every act of kindness shown throughout this journey.

Karen was deeply loved by so many people, and that love has carried her and this family every step of the way.

Please continue lifting her family up in prayer as they begin navigating the impossible days ahead.

Rest peacefully, Firefly. 💚✨
