NASA is looking for volunteers to passively track Orion during the Artemis II crewed flight around the Moon! This data will help NASA understand industry tracking capabilities for future Moon to Mars missions.

I saw this and thought some people may have some interest. I for one may take part in this.

CARA Weekly Net Notes 8/25/2025
KC3WRX: Wednesday Lunch at Thursday’s in Owings 1130.
KC3TXO: The outer banks were taking it all in stride
KB3WFV: Change to the upcoming meeting – BOD 9/4/25 630 PM at 3 Brothers. Meeting at Mrs. Moos (on Rt. 231) on 9/11/25 700 PM. If rain then retreat to public safety building as usual. The Fair requires the table to be staffed the entire time. NNO-type of display. Might be able to do a special event call. We want to have 2 people at a time at the table. 69 hours covered so far. Details to sent via email. GMRS antenna bids are in. will be reviewed with the board. Donations are still requested to cover the cost. A station from Towson was able to make contact on an HT from a high-rise. 220 Feet
KC3QQD: Used FRS radios with the family over the weekend and the non-hams were very pleased. Looking forward to using the GMRS repeater
N3AE: problems with attachments on the reflector email.
W3PQS: was able to tilt over tower to work on storm-damaged antenna. Looking forward to meeting at Mrs. Moos / drive-in
