Learning comes alive when learners can see it, touch it, try it and create with it.
Our Inclusive Mobile STEM Lab set up camp at Raila Education Centre in Nairobi from 18th to 21st August 2026, where, for four days, the mobile STEM bus became a hub of exploration, discovery and inclusive learning for learners with and without disabilities from different schools across Nairobi.
Through practical, hands-on activities, learners explored STEM, digital learning, literacy and numeracy in an environment designed to make learning engaging, accessible and fun.The camp took learning beyond the traditional classroom, giving learners opportunities to see, hear, touch, say, do and create as they engaged with new concepts.
For learners with disabilities, the camp provided valuable opportunities to engage with digital and STEM learning in an inclusive environment, while teachers reflected on how inclusive pedagogies and Universal Design for Learning can make learning more accessible to everyone.
The four days demonstrated that when learning is practical, inclusive and engaging, learners can participate more actively, understand concepts better and build the confidence to apply what they learn.
We are grateful to the learners, teachers, participating schools and everyone who made the STEM Holiday Camp possible.
