REGISTRATIONS FOR CREA 2027 ARE OPEN 🎉

For months we’ve been working behind the scenes to put together programs that are truly worth your time, and today we can finally share them with you!

The theme we’ve chosen for this year is Prototype your Future.

With generative AI, in fact, ideas have never been easier to produce. What is becoming rare is the ability to choose the ones that matter, test them, learn from what doesn’t work and try again. How do we build that ability, as people, teams and organisations? That’s the question we’ll explore together at CREA 2027 in Sestri Levante.

And there’s a brand new format waiting for you: the Immersions join our Core Programs. More on this very soon!

👉 Register before 6 November with the code LAUNCHPAD and get the launch discount (individual registrations only): https://creaconference.com/register/

In our last carousel, we looked at how research is asking team leaders to become active facilitators. The same review, which brings together thirty years of studies on meetings, also raises another question: what role will Artificial Intelligence play?

Meeting tools already include AI assistants that take notes and summarize decisions and tasks. And among the questions researchers are asking about the future are exactly these: can AI facilitate a meeting? And can it help the person running it see how well they are facilitating, with real-time feedback?

👉 If you have already used AI to facilitate a meeting, how did it go? Share your experience with CREA community in the comments.

How often have you thought, "This meeting is pointless"?

And yet well-structured meetings are linked to organizations' long-term success. That's why we believe anyone leading a team today also needs facilitation skills: to help the group discuss, decide and work better together.

Do you want to build these skills? You can at CREA, the event that every year brings together facilitators, managers and trainers from a range of countries to share best practices and tools.

Until October 11, you can register for CREA 2027 at a special price!

In its report on nearly 290 deliberative processes worldwide, the OECD states that no systematic data was collected on the facilitators who participated in those processes, despite acknowledging that their role is critical, as we discussed in our last carousel.

The OECD also recommends that facilitators remain independent from whoever commissions the work. It's one of the reasons demand for external facilitators is growing in the public sector.

👉Do you have experience facilitating in the public sector? Tell us about it in the comments.

15/09/2026

What does facilitation have to do with public administration?

Collective intelligence is a natural ally of participatory processes, and in some European countries it's already an established government practice.

But not everything that looks like participation actually is, which is why trained professionals like facilitators are essential, and why it's just as essential to keep learning and exchanging methods and good practice, the way we do every year at CREA.

Stay tuned, registration for CREA 2027 opens soon.
