Last week, our founder, , attended the conference in San Francisco! It was a time full of inspiration, learning, and connection and she is excited to get back to her students and co-teachers to put some of those ideas to work.
Community is such a vital piece of the work we do and the SAA conference always brings joy in remembering that 🎻

Today, our executive director, Renita Luehrman, had the opportunity to speak to the St. Louis Piano Teachers Round Table about the work Suzuki Harmony does and give ideas on how to increase access to music lessons for all students in the St. Louis region. Sharing our passion is one of the biggest joys of what we do! Thanks to the PTRT for their warm welcome and engaging conversation!

On February 3rd, our executive director, Renita Luehrman, saw many months of work come to fruition as she co-chaired the Des Lee Fine Arts Education Collaborative Festival High School Orchestra. 90 students (including Suzuki Harmony STL student DeMecya!) from 13 area schools were coached and directed all day by clinician, Twinda Murry. They then performed for friends and family in a culminating evening concert.

Okay, now that you’ve heard the ways in which we have grown, let us tell you how we want to continue to grow.
🎼
As our student community and programs grow, we’re looking to expand our administrative team. Strengthening our marketing and development efforts will help us reach more families across the St. Louis area. The more people who support our students and our work, the more resources we’ll have to welcome even more young musicians and deepen our impact! Suzukiharmonystl.org/donate to give!

You’ve likely seen our posts about our Summer Camp, but humor us again!
🎻
Our summer camp grew from 18 students the first year to 32 students this year and we have big goals to continue this growth next year! Why is summer camp important? It’s like a group class boot camp; students get all the benefits of group class all day, every day for a week. The amount of growth we see in their musicianship at the end of the week is incredible! Parents tell us their children are sad it isn’t two weeks… or all summer 🤪 While we can’t make all summer happen, we would love to offer more opportunities during the summer and to open enrollment for more students to come and learn with our fabulous teachers.

Group class is one of the foundational elements of the Suzuki Method and our students and families are finding out why! Allow us to get into the weeds for just a teeny second
🌱
In group, students learn how to play together, match pitch and rhythm, follow a leader, and internalize techniques they’ve learned in private lessons. These skills are essential to a well-rounded musician. But wait, there’s more! They also get to make friends and find peers who have the same interest and passions as them. This is essential to life and continued motivation and learning. We are proud to be able to offer weekly group class to our students and you can help us continue to grow what we can offer. Allow us tell you how we have grown in three main areas: 1. Private lesson enrollment 🎶
2. Group class enrollment 🎻
3. Summer camp enrollment ☀️
Up first: private lessons!
In 2025, we have added 19 students to our program. 1️⃣9️⃣! How can we continue to say yes to students seeking lessons? By partnering with generous donors who share our vision. If this is you, you can give at the link in our bio or suzukiharmonystl.org/donate

Why give to Suzuki Harmony STL? We have experienced tremendous growth in the last year and now serve over 60 students in the St. Louis area. This is a JOY for us and we would like to invite you to share our joy by partnering with us. If you are able to give, there is a link in our bio or head to suzukiharmonystl.org/donate. If you cannot give, please share and help spread the word! The more people who know what we do, the greater the impact we can have on our community.
