Our third annual Suzuki Harmony STL Summer Camp took place at the beautiful UMSL Creative Arts Building, thanks to UMSL, the Des Lee Fine Arts Collaborative, and our supporters.

The week was filled with lessons, group learning, and games, and finished with a performance by our campers. Seeing immense growth in our students in such a short amount of time is why we do what we do!

We are already looking forward to and dreaming about next year.

Keep that cup from falling! While at first it may look like these students are just having some fun, they’re actually practicing keeping their bow hold and maintaining control.

Part of what makes our group classes so effective is that students learn through activities and build friendships with each other. The trust between them, their peers, and their teachers make the learning part easy.

Here, we see an example of our teacher Renita guiding a student through a difficult technique by playing along with him and demonstrating closely.

This involvement from our teachers and parents improves not only a student’s playing, but their confidence and ability to work through problems as well.
