We’re honoured that InterAction for Health and Human Rights is a finalist for the 2026 Australian Human Rights Awards.

InterAction for Health and Human Rights promotes promotes the health, self-determination and bodily autonomy of inters*x people in Australia.

We aim to help create a society where our bodies are not stigmatised, and people are respected, protected and fulfilled by building community, evidence, capacity and education. We engage in law reform and policy work, and deliver psychosocial support, peer support and advocacy programs, including InterLink and Inters*x Peer Support Australia programs.

“We’re excited to be recognised in these national awards,’ says Executive Director Dr Morgan Carpenter.

“This nomination belongs to everyone in our team: our staff, board, volunteers, and everyone who has been part of our founding organisations.

“We congratulate all the finalists on their powerful and extraordinary work; we are proud to be recognised amongst them in these national awards.”

The winners of the Australian Human Rights Awards will be announced on Human Rights Day on 10 December. Thanks to the Australian Human Rights Commission, the nominees and adjudicators for this important recognition.
