“It’s always a delight to come home to my roots and support a new Waiuku Coastguard boat and a Waiuku Lions Club fundraising initiative!” exclaimed Spotify artist Jenni Smith. The singer/songwriter will headline the ALL ABOARD VARIETY SHOW, Saturday, March 14 at the Waiuku Memorial Hall. Waiuku Coastguard President Karl Dickey noted “The appeal is a great opportunity for our local coast guard crew! This past year Waiuku Coastguard managed over 450 crew call out hours for life in danger and non urgent safety conditions and carried out over 400 hours training. It’s going to be a great event!” Lions President Allan Standing raved “What a way to celebrate Waiuku Lions 60+ years of community service! We’re rallying everyone to show their civic spirit by patronizing our charity gala for a worthy cause! It’s going to an evening of fun!”

The flotilla of entertainers will also include the 21-member UkuPella Chorus vocal repertoire, a Waiuku Theatre Group showcase plus Albi and the Wolves with their energetic indie-folk art music. All profits in support of a new Waiuku Coastguard boat. Cash bar | Silent Auction | Raffles

Posting this to help Helen Polley:

Well… today I came across a lovely lady outside the Pukekohe Library who was trying to carry a bag & use crutches. I offered to carry her bag to her car for her. We chatted the short distance & I placed the bag in her car. Guess what!!! My car keys must have fallen from my sweatshirt pocket into her boot & all I know is that she lives in Awhitu!
I have left my name & number at the Franklin Art Centre & let the police know but maybe someone out there knows someone in Awhitu who has hurt her foot & is using crutches at the moment…😁Stranger things have happened.
Thanks

Does anyone know someone who hurt their foot and is using crutches currently?

Please help if you can. Thank you.
