📣...This year, the release of the Jesuit Global Network of Schools (JGNS) map marks a new milestone for our global network!

We celebrate the 10th edition of our global map offered to educators in our Jesuit schools as a resource and as a symbol of our vast and culturally diverse global educational network. 🎇🎉🗺️

To mark this important milestone, we are delighted to make available, for the first time, a "Catalogue for Jesuit Schools", 🎁which offers printable and digital formats of the Global Map of the Jesuit Global Network of Schools (JGNS) and of the infographic “Our Global Dimension”. 🌎🌍🌏😍

These resources are a great way to showcase and promote the global dimension of your Jesuit school, as well as what’s important and unique about Jesuit Education.

We’d also like to invite you to take a look at the most significant moments of how the Global Map has evolved over the years below, all the way up to the latest updates in 2026!

Celebramos la 10.ª edición de nuestro mapa global, que ponemos a disposición de los educadores de nuestros colegios jesuitas como recurso y como símbolo de nuestra amplia y culturalmente diversa red educativa global. 🎇🎉🗺️

Para conmemorar este importante hito, nos complace poner a su disposición, por primera vez, un «Catálogo para colegios jesuitas», 🎁que ofrece formatos imprimibles y digitales del mapa global de la Red Global Jesuita de Colegios (RGJC) y de la infografía «Nuestra dimensión global». 🌎🌍🌏😍

Here is a great example of how the ‘Educate Magis Connected Classrooms’ can also be used to strengthen ties between schools in the same region or province. 😃

🎙 "Let me begin with a personal testimony. I am a teacher at “Collège Sadisana” in Kikwit, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and a correspondent for Educate Magis. Since I started using the Connected Classrooms offered by the Educate Magis platform, my way of teaching has been completely transformed. What once seemed impossible to me, namely, collaborating in real time with colleagues and students from other countries, is now a very real and transformative reality. I am no longer isolated in my classroom; I am regularly in dialogue with other educators, discovering other cultures and educational approaches along the way. My practices are being renewed, my ideas enriched, and I feel a genuine resurgence of enthusiasm for my profession.

But the best part is that my students are the ones who benefit directly. They understand that learning is not limited to their immediate environment. They discover that excellence and integral formation, so cherished by Jesuit schools, are not empty words but a reality they experience every day.

This experience is not limited to international exchanges. It also works very well at the regional or provincial level, and this is an important point."

🎙 ..."As I listened to Fr. Arturo Sosa, SJ, the 31st Superior General of the Society of Jesus, during a WUJA keynote address, it was impossible for me to separate his reflections and remarks intended for the World Union of Jesuit Alumni (WUJA) from our work at "De Smet Jesuit High School" and other educational apostolates in the USA and Canada – as we continuously find ways of servings students, in the spirit of the magis – remembering our dissatisfaction with things as they are, when they could be better. Here are just a few invitations that are relevant today, which make our work not only important, but, in fact, crucial."

🥰...In 2014, near the Cave of Saint Ignatius in Manresa, Spain, several experts in Ignatian spirituality and Jesuit education held the first International Seminar on Ignatian Pedagogy and Spirituality (SIPEI). It was an opportunity to discuss in depth “the meaning of forming a person of conscience, competence, compassion and commitment as the general framework for our education”. (SIPEI, 2014), and to experience “the immense possibilities that thinking, working and dreaming together as a global network open for us”. (SIPEI, 2014)

Ten years later, following a virtual pre-seminar, the second JESEDU seminar was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The former Secretary of Education, Fr José Mesa SJ, recalls: “The II Seminar JEDEDU-Jogja 2024 was truly a moment of deep discernment where we felt God’s presence in our midst as we recognized the very diverse contexts of our schools and the immense challenge that educating for faith represents today.” (Mesa, 2025)

These Seminars are conceived “as a moment of an in-depth reflection on a central topic or concern for Jesuit Education” (Mesa, 2026). “Not intended to find “the answer” but rather to help us to continue the necessary ongoing discernment on this central aspect of our education at the local, regional and global levels.” (Mesa, 2025) 🙏🫶👏🤩

🗓️ This September, as a member of Educate Magis, you have the opportunity to learn, reflect and grow alongside educators from across the global Jesuit network through three online international facilitated cohort courses.

These courses are more than online learning. 😉👌 They are an invitation to pause, reflect, connect and grow as a contemporary Jesuit educator in conversation with colleagues from around the world who share the same commitment to educating and accompanying young people. 🌅💗

Previous participants have described the experience as a way to make time for deeper reflection, understand Ignatian principles more fully, and connect their everyday work with a stronger sense of purpose and mission.

🗓️ ...In August 2027, we will celebrate the conclusion of the second cycle of global discernment and collaboration between Jesuit and Companion schools. Each cycle has begun with a Colloquium, followed by a Seminar and then a Congress. 💫 🥰 🌎

In this article, we explain how the Colloquia: ICJSE 2012 and JESEDU-Global 2021 have been crucial in addressing the challenges facing our schools today.

These preparations involve Province Delegates for Education and the wider global community.
