Each individual contributes an affordable monthly donation which, combined, funds a life-changing project for people living in the world’s most marginalised communities. We see ourselves as a monthly subscription to positive change.

Be One is proud to partner with Action Village India - Registered Charity Organisation for our March grant.

For over 30 years, AVI has worked alongside marginalised communities to create sustainable, community-led change. In Sivagangai District, Tamil Nadu, many families depend on rain-fed farming, which is becoming increasingly unreliable due to changing climate conditions and declining soil health.

This project focuses on helping farmers adapt and build long-term resilience. Through regenerative farming methods, improved water management, and opportunities to diversify income through livestock and fruit planting, families are better equipped to create stable and sustainable livelihoods.

Thanks to collective giving, this initiative will directly support 500 farmers and their families, reaching approximately 2,500 people.

Across four communities in Kumasi, Ghana, nearly 5,000 students are enrolled in school, but none of their 15 schools currently have access to ICT facilities.

Without digital access, these young people risk being left behind in education and future employment opportunities, with girls facing even greater barriers.

In January our small community came together and raised £3,132.12 for Kids for Kids🎉
This will fund 125 Kitchen Kits for families with young children in Sudan. These contain nutritious food for now, plus seeds and tools to grow their own and become self-sufficient, all delivered by local volunteers who know every household.

We’ve received a powerful update from our colleagues at Chance for Childhood, who are leading delivery of the Big Pig Project in Rwanda.

During a recent visit, the team met a family in the Huye District whose child has a physical disability. The child is supported through physio and a local parent support group, and the family has also received a pregnant sow as part of the project, along with training in sustainable pig farming.

Reaching the family involved more than an hour travelling on rough, mountainous roads after leaving the highway. Their sow has now given birth to eight piglets. Three will remain with the family to help them build a stable income. The other five will be rotated to local families who also have a child with a disability, supporting income growth across the community.

Jean Paul, the project vet, is training parents to vaccinate their piglets, helping them protect their herd and build knowledge they can use long term.

One detail we particularly appreciate: the child wasn’t at home when the team arrived. They were at school. The parent support group has helped families understand that children with disabilities have the same rights and value as all children.
