The Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers is pleased to announce the re-accreditation of the Sea Mar Community Health Centers’ APP Residency, UC Davis Health Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing’s Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship, and UC Davis Health Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing’s Specialty Care Advanced Practice Providers Fellowship all received re-accreditation on August 13, 2026!

All three programs received re-accreditation for a full five years.

📢 Help Advance Research in APP Postgraduate Education and Training

Researchers from UMass Chan Medical School and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus are seeking participants for two important studies that will help shape the future of postgraduate training and transition-to-practice support for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Study 1: Sustainability of NP & PA Residency and Fellowship Programs

This study explores the facilitators, barriers, and challenges associated with developing, maintaining, and sustaining NP and PA residency and fellowship programs. Findings will help inform best practices and support organizations interested in building and strengthening postgraduate APP training programs nationwide.

Who should participate?
• Program leaders
• Faculty and educators
• Administrators
• Stakeholders involved in postgraduate APP training

Time commitment: 2–5 minutes
Participation is voluntary and confidential.

Study 2: APRN Fellowship Decision-Making

This dissertation study examines why some APRN students and new graduate APRNs choose to pursue fellowship training while others do not. The findings will help improve transition-to-practice support, fellowship program development, and future outcomes research.

• New graduate APRNs (≤3 years of experience)

That's a wrap on the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers' Annual Conference!

Over the past three days, APP postgraduate training leaders from across the country came together to learn, collaborate, and explore Building What's Next: Leadership, Workforce, and Innovation in APP Postgraduate Training.

Our second day of the conference began with a little friendly competition during our inaugural pickleball tournament before attendees participated in sessions on artificial intelligence, accreditation, faculty development, financial sustainability, and emerging trends shaping the future of APP postgraduate training.

Thank you to our speakers, moderators, facilitators, poster presenters, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees for making this year's conference such a success. Your collaboration, innovation, and commitment to advancing APP postgraduate training continue to strengthen our community and the future of the profession.

That's a wrap on Day 1 of the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers' Annual Conference!

Today, we explored the future of APP postgraduate training through thought-provoking discussions on national policy, workforce realities, program development and evaluations, finance, ROI, competencies, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in healthcare education and clinical practice. Interactive roundtable discussions provided attendees with the opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices, and build meaningful connections with colleagues from across the country.

A special thank you to our outstanding speakers, moderators, and facilitators for sharing their expertise and helping us continue Building What's Next: Leadership, Workforce, and Innovation in APP Postgraduate Training.

We're also grateful to our poster presenters, whose innovative research, quality improvement initiatives, educational projects, and program developments are helping advance APP postgraduate training nationwide. What a fantastic start to the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers’ Annual Conference, Building What’s Next: Leadership, Workforce, and Innovation in APP Postgraduate Training!

Yesterday, attendees kicked off conference week with our pre-conference workshops, engaging in meaningful discussions, sharing ideas, and building new skills to strengthen APP postgraduate training programs.

Our new Blueprint to Success: Designing and Implementing a Strong APP Postgraduate Training Program workshop provided practical strategies and real-world insights for organizations looking to launch or strengthen their programs. In the afternoon, participants in our Leadership and Executive Mentoring: Advancing Influence, Insight, and Impact workshop explored leadership development, communication, and executive presence to help maximize their impact within their organizations.

A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding workshop facilitators and everyone who participated for making the day such a success!
