Happy National PA Week!

From October 6-12, we celebrate PAs and the many ways they care for patients, strengthen healthcare teams, and serve communities across the country.

Happy National APP Week!

This week, we celebrate the nurse practitioners, physician associates/assistants, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and certified nurse-midwives who make a difference in the lives of patients and communities every day.

At the Consortium, we have the privilege of seeing APPs at an especially meaningful point in their careers, as they build confidence, strengthen their clinical skills, learn alongside experienced mentors, and grow into the providers they will become.

We also recognize the APPs who give back as program leaders, faculty, preceptors, mentors, site visitors, and volunteers. Your willingness to invest in the next generation strengthens not only postgraduate training, but the APP workforce as a whole.

Accreditation Tip: Don't wait for your self-study to start thinking about your data.

Program evaluation is most useful when it's part of your regular operations, not something you pull together when an accreditation deadline approaches.

Build a routine for reviewing trainee feedback, preceptor feedback, outcomes, completion data, and other measures that help you understand what's working and where your program can improve.

When it's time to tell your program's story through the accreditation process, you'll have both the data and the experience of using it to make meaningful improvements.

Applications are still open for the Consortium's Fall 2026 Accreditation Site Visitor Training, but don't wait, the application deadline is September 1, 2026.

As an Accreditation Site Visitor, you'll play an important role in advancing excellence in APP postgraduate training by helping evaluate programs against the Consortium's nationally recognized accreditation standards. It's also an excellent opportunity to expand your professional network, gain insight into accreditation best practices, and contribute to the continued growth of APP postgraduate education!

This year's virtual training will be held:

📅 Saturday, November 14, 2026 | 12:00-5:00 p.m. (ET)

The Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers is pleased to announce the re-accreditation of the Sea Mar Community Health Centers’ APP Residency, UC Davis Health Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing’s Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship, and UC Davis Health Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing’s Specialty Care Advanced Practice Providers Fellowship all received re-accreditation on August 13, 2026!

All three programs received re-accreditation for a full five years.
