Canossian Volunteers Philippines - CVP This page is maintained by the Core Group and Senior Volunteers, under the supervision of the Canossian Sister-in-charge.

Canossian Volunteers Philippines (CVP) is an experience of SERVICE (Meaningful Summer) to God and His people. CVP is conducted every summer and participated by young people from our different communities in Luzon and Mindanao. The volunteers have their own stories on how they were called to serve. Each of them was called very uniquely from the others. Some left the comfort zones of their lives. Ot

hers, out of curiosity and adventure. Others only felt obliged, with little motivation at all. Many were called and they come with a lot of uncertainties yet after the program ordinary things become extra ordinary. Beyond those intricacies are turning points in their lives especially during the entire service. A revelation that they have major roles to perform for the salvific plan of God towards humanity. Our Vision
"Integrally formed persons witnessing God's unconditional love at the service of the Church in her evangelizing mission." Our Mission
"In openness to the newness of the spirit, we , the Canossian Volunteers Philippines, commit ourselves to foster personal growth in freedom and responsibility and to live as powerful witnesses to the Gospel of Love in fraternal relationship, in solidarity with the mission of the Church, with concern for justice, peace and integrity of creation while seeking always and everywhere the well-being of every person."

The admin of this page usually posts birthday greetings only for current core group members. We apologize, as doing this for all volunteers would flood the newsfeed with too many greetings. However, this time, we are making an exception. Why not?

She is one of the pioneers who initiated the program 35 years ago and was assigned to different mission areas across the Philippines. Through VOICA, our international Canossian volunteer arm, she has also been entrusted with various mission assignments around the world. Even now, she continues to quietly cheer for the volunteers from afar, praying for and supporting them in her own simple ways.

Today, we celebrate not only your life but also your beautiful legacy of service and love, ๐—”๐˜๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฎ.

Happy Birthday! May God continue to bless you with good health, joy, and countless graces. Thank you for your inspiring witness and for being a light in the mission. You will always be part of this journey that continues to unfold in love and service.

With love and gratitude, from your CVP family.

My reflection on our service mission with the Canossian Volunteers in Bagong Bayan, El Nido, Palawan, highlights the three years of dedicated work of the Canossian Fathers in the area. Inspired by the theme โ€œHearts Ablaze: Waves of Compassion, Bringing Christโ€™s Love to Our Communities and Beyond,โ€ we embraced the challenge of sharing the Good News with the young people and children served by the Canossian Fathers.

I was deeply moved by the simplicity of life and the strong sense of community experienced in the chapels, which reflected the profound impact of the Canossian Fathersโ€™ mission. One leader shared that, despite their poverty, they feel rich because of Godโ€™s closenessโ€”especially through the Sacraments, particularly the Eucharist. This insight challenged me to deepen my faithfulness and passion in my vocation as a Canossian Sister.

This experience continues to inspire me to bring Jesus to others through my presence, reassuring them of Godโ€™s unending love and faithful accompaniment in their life journey.

Sr. Rose Aquino, FdCC

After meaningful encounters in Jakarta as our first stop, and in the communities of Kupang and Kasongan, where we exchanged smiles, stories, heartfelt hellos, and shared parting moments, we reunited in Bali for a rich sharing of experiences. This coming together marked not only the closing of our mission journey but also the beginning of a new chapter: united hearts, strengthened by faith, service, and compassion.

In Bali, we continued our time of reflection and sharing, deepening our exchange of meaningful experiences. We also had the opportunity to visit the Canossian Sisters community, a moment of connection that further enriched our journey. Alongside these encounters, we explored some of Baliโ€™s treasures, from serene temples and vibrant local culture to breathtaking beaches and lush landscapes. It was a well deserved holiday, a joyful pause that celebrated a mission well done and the beauty of Godโ€™s creation.

We, the 11 volunteers (Jeremie, Herman, Sr. Rochelle, Diane, Cecilia, Rowena, Jhim, Alex, Kisha, Nickah, and Gelen), offered our dedication, love, and compassion to make this mission possible. Each spirit of service, together with the people we encountered, has left a lasting mark on our hearts. We believe this mission was made possible through the dedication of each one of us, united in love and compassion.

With heartfelt gratitude to the Canossian Sisters in Jakarta, Kupang, and Kasongan, and to all the people we encountered along the way, your kindness, prayers, and shared moments of faith and friendship gave life to this mission and will remain in our hearts.

May the seeds of compassion planted in every encounter continue to grow, bringing hope and unity wherever the mission leads.
