All the recent rain we’ve been getting has helped our garden. Today’s harvested vegetables will be delivered to the Bathurst Food Bank tomorrow.

Member Profile

Adam Chamberlain has been a Rotarian for the past 18 years. Adam has been our Paul Harris Gala chair and Scholarship chair for a an extended period of time. Adam is one of those dependable Rotarians who works quietly behind the scenes to make things happen.

Adam is more well known as the Director of Golf at the Gowan Brae Golf & Country Club. Adam is quite an accomplished golfer, having won the 2013 PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada. He is also actively involved with the Bathurst Minor Hockey Association.

The next time you see Adam out and about in his busy day, don’t forget to thank him for his “Service Above Self.”

On a yearly basis, the Rotary Club of Bathurst awards $1,000 scholarships to Bathurst High School and École Secondaire Nepisiguit students who will be furthering their academic studies. This year’s recipients are Veronika Loboda, Isabella Antonia Ross, Maïka Ross, Carter Brown and Alexander Urbina. Congratulations to all the worthy recipients.

Atlantic Superstore in Bathurst donated seeds to the Bathurst Rotary garden recently.

The produce grown in the Rotary Garden, which is located in Coronation Park, is donated to the Bathurst Volunteer Centre and Foodbank once harvested each year.

The Rotary Club of Bathurst Community Garden is coming along quite nicely. Tonight’s crew doing a bit of weeding. As in previous years, vegetables grown at this garden are destined for the Bathurst Food Bank.

Looking back on this time last year when Rotary helped with a barbecue in Coronation Park.

Looking forward to the many great events planned for this year's Hospitality Days festival and encouraging everyone to get out and take in as many events as possible over the next few days.
