GERA Club at SHU GERA attempts to protect the rights and enhance the wellbeing of those who have been either physically or mentally affected by conflict.

While serving as a contractor with the US Armed Forces in Afghanistan, Sikander Khan saw the torment that refugees had to face in the wake of conflict. After he returned from Afghanistan, Sikander knew that his new mission in life was to help people who were affected by any type of conflict - no matter where they may be from. As a graduate of Seton Hall's School of Diplomacy, Sikander, along with

the help of several others, worked towards this goal by establishing GERA - Global Emergency Response and Assistance. Over the last several years, the organization has helped hundreds of refugees from various parts of the world with food and clothing and has helped countless others get resettled here in the United States. As current students at Seton Hall, our goal is to expand Sikander's vision and give others rewarding advocacy, service, and networking opportunities that enable them to make a positive change in the world around them.
