Paul, Shavauna, Diana, and Martha will be hosting study hour on Tuesdays 7-9 PM (Discord tiny.cc/CESAstudy), and Thursdays 7-9 PM (Zoom ID 673 502 0783). We will also be incorporating interactive breaks & check-ins during study sessions 😎

Hi all, I wanted to let you all know that I created a CESA Discord with the help of the students. Here is the link to join https://discord.gg/2V9Jm4t There is info by major as well as scholarship information in the scholarships tab. I like how information can be organized like Slack. Additionally, we do study hours over Discord Tuesdays (including today) from 7-9pm where you can listen to music and study. Also, with the online circuit breaker the CESA office will be physically closed but virtually open!

"I want to let you know about some great internship opportunities that we still have available for the spring semester.

All positions qualify for the Hope Corps Scholarship ($1,000 - $3,000) and students will earn 3-6 credits through their internship. Interested students must apply by December 13th at 11:59 pm.

Utah Muslim Civic League: A non-profit whose mission is to educate and empower the Muslim community with a focus on voter engagement. They are seeking an intern who can assist with social media, content writing, and assistance with strategic communications.

Engage Global Story Telling: a newly formed non-profit with the purpose of creating digital educational materials about global issues. They are seeking an intern who can assist with marketing/advertising including website development, SEO management, social media creation and strategy, sales and business development, market analysis, etc.

United Way of Salt Lake: a local non-profit which pursues lasting social change on issues like poverty, poor health, and educational achievement. They are seeking several interns:

COVID-19 Response Virtual Tutoring Coordinator – Spanish speaker preferred: Help run COVID-driven virtual tutoring opportunities, including a virtual math tutoring program and virtual reading tutoring programKindergarten Readiness: Participate in planning a multi-year preschool initiative based in Salt Lake County, researching and compiling the alignment of state programs and funding streams in early childhood education. Community Engagement and Outreach: Organize, coordinate and conduct primary research (interviews, focus groups) with parents and community members to promote improved engagement with our work.
