What a day. Like to thank all the sponsors again - made it possible to almost double our anticipated payouts and meet our goal back to the 4-H club for their live stock building.
Had 25 teams entered for the 1st tournament, 16 for the air mail competition, and highest ever, of 36 individuals, for the blind draw tournament.
Mat H and Lance L took home first place cash and the co****le boards for the main tournament. Kevin B and Jared J took home cash and plaques for 2nd, and locals Jason and Tucker Mclees took home 3rd place cash. Played 98 total matches starting at 11:00 and finishing at 4:00.
Mat H ended up taking home the cash for the air mail contest - being the last one standing in the final round.
Todd P and Ed N took home the cash in the blind draw tournament. Having to beat an undefeated team twice to win after losing to them earlier in the tournament.

Wanted to let everyone know that I believe I have found enough time to build a set of boards for the 1st place team this year. This is a preview of the boards - more simple than what I’ve done in the past but think they’ll turn out pretty nice. Stain colors and final design will most likely change a bit, but should be fairly close.

Sign ups for 4-H are just around the corner. If you're interested in air rifle or archery make sure to reach out to the Extension Office to get information on signing up. Child must be between 9 and 19 (senior year).
I will no longer be coaching air rifle, but will still be available to answer questions and help with any transition. Obviously, we're now looking for new coaches that want to get involved. There are a few certification trainings coming up in early December.
I'll help out as much as I can, for those that are interested, and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.
It's a great program and we've had great success - would love to see it continue. I'm just not able to be involved as much as needed to keep the program rolling.
Most of the program is funded through fundraisers and donations. Upcoming fundraiser is wreath sales. Anybody interested in taking that over please reach out - we typically order at end of October and deliver right after Thanksgiving. Each wreath gives the child a portion of the sale to help cover any tournament fees throughout the year.

A great day of co****le. Shout out to our event sponsors Darlows / Ace and Jackson Contractor Group, and our lane sponsors 4 Aces / Napa, Haskins Excavating, Superior Septic, MCSSA, and 4-H.
Had teams from Spokane, Clinton, Kalispell, Missoula, Big Fork, and surrounding communities. Thank you to all who attended and making the trek out here.
First Place - The Vikings winning cash of $660 plus boards
Second Place - The Ugly Ducks winning cash of $400 plus award boards
Third Place - Travis and Ashley B winning cash of $265.
After a tight throw off between Ashley B and James S in the air mail challenge - James took half the pot and came away with$140.
Thank you to all the people who helped setup and tear down from archery and air rifle teams. Special thanks to my sister Michelle for keeping track of the cash and scoring. Special thanks to my folks for, once again, staying out in the heat for too long and keeping everyone fed.

Tomorrow we will have an airmail competition as well. $10 for 8 bags. Highest number wins. If multiple winners there will be another round among those that are tied to determine winner. Multiple rounds may be required to get to a final winner.

Here are the finished awards for 2nd place. They are 1’x2’. Not my best work but that’s what happens when you don’t leave yourself enough time to do a proper finish.
