Lifeblood
The two great rivers of Western Colorado, the Gunnison and Colorado Rivers, flow together in the Grand Valley. It is what gives Grand Junction our name. But until recently, we haven’t been great stewards of these amazing rivers and the exceptional places and experiences they create. The City of Grand Junction has recently embraced the riverfront and has built some excellent projects at the river’s edge and are continuing to invest in these efforts.
Colorado Riverfest is working to help showcase the river, the Riverfront Trail, Las Colonias Amphitheater, Watson Island, and the hard work of the organizations that have done so much. We are going to throw a party at the edge of the Colorado River. A river festival that brings people together to celebrate this amazing place.
