Recognize these two legends from Big Tide Brewing Co.? Becky and Chris have been serving us up food and drinks since our very first Walk for Cancer in 2020 to our Mrs Ropers Romp for Cancer at present day!
I can’t think of a single thing that we have asked of them that hasn’t been met with an “absolutely” or ideas of their own to either tack on or creatively stand alone. When we think of collaboration … we think of these two!
So, whether you are catching a great deal on a room at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Saint John (DM us for the link) or snoozing somewhere else after romping the night away on October 3rd… come and join us for brunch at Big Tide Sunday morning before facing the reality that the next romp will be a whole year away at that point!

🌼💕The Mrs Ropers Romp in Saint John, NB is embarking on its 4th annual event in support of breast cancer research. Your registration fee is a minimum donation of $25 directly to the Canadian Cancer Society via our CCS page! We add you to the registration list for check in October 3rd and the Canadian Cancer Society issues you a tax deductible receipt.
What do you get in return? A fantastic experience where hundreds of people come together in their best Helen costumes (or any other character from Threes Company) to honour loved ones that are/have battled cancer. It’s a sisterhood like no other. 💕
What does that look like? You get live music from three extraordinary groups/bands, drink specials at 10+ participating establishments, the opportunity to submit photos of your loved ones to our slide show, you can purchase tickets for our 50/50 and raffle draws and so much more!!
This year we have added a great discount at the Delta SJ and a brunch special for Sunday morning at Big Tide!
There are more things in store that we are working on and we can’t wait to share it all with you!

Whatever your plan for this October 3rd is make sure you register by following the link! How do you register? We made it super easy… the link takes you to our Canadian Cancer Society page where you donate a minimum of $25/person, be sure to make your name visible to us, they issue you your receipt and your name is added to our spreadsheet for registration!

Key points: to be registered it must be a minimum donation of $25/person and your name must be made visible to us. If you are registering for more than yourself at the same time you must do it in minimum donations of $25 per person and include all of the names you are registering for in the messages section so they can be manually added to our spreadsheets.

Last year was so much fun and we want you to be a part of our sisterhood this year! We had over 600 people flooding into AREA 506 in the best Threes Company attire...mostly Helens with some other characters peppered through to make the night one to remember!
Minimum donation for registration is $25/person and don't forget to make your name visible to us so we can add you to the registry otherwise your donation is only that and you are not registered.
You can donate in multiples of $25 if you are registering for more than yourself but please add their names in the messages section of your donation so we can add them to the list as well.

Today should not go without noting that it would’ve been Jennifer’s 57th birthday.
Who is she? She’s the whole reason that The Romp exists as it does in Saint John. She inspired our first walk for cancer research in 2020 (the year she was digonosed with breast cancer), and in recent years it has become something she would be proud to have her name attached to….People coming together to honour those that have suffered due to cancer and doing it in a postive and unified way. A sisterhood.

My promise to her was to be sure she was never forgotten … her biggest fear. So, good thing she had a little sister that loves being a bit kooky and scrolls through TikTok from time to time. 🥰That’s how the cancer walk morphed into what is now the Fourth Annual Romp!
It went from 7 friends dressing up as Helen in 2023 to over 600 in three years raising over $18,000 for cancer research all in her name!
So whatever it is that brought you to reading this post, please take a moment and remember the people you lost to cancer knowing that you are not alone in your grief. 🌼💕
