Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Helens and family!!
We are thankful for everyone that came out and supported the fundraiser itself but more importantly the people that we romp for. Honouring our loved ones that we can share the holiday with and remembering the treasured memories of the ones that we’ve lost. 💕🥹❤️‍🩹

The 4th Annual Mrs Roper’s Romp paperwork is almost wrapped up and we just wanted to shout out a HUGE thank you to all of you! The businesses and their staff that support us plus everyone that donated and came out to the Romp… this event would not exist without you. 💕
We went from seven friends romping around to 600+ in just 4 years. Thank you for helping us keep my sister’s memory alive.
In the three years that we have been sharing this as a public event we have raised over $45,000 for breast cancer research in the hopes that you and your families will never know what it’s like to lose anyone to breast cancer.
It’s a long road but we can walk it together. 🎀

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to arrive in a country you’ve never set foot in and your very first day being introduced to a sea of red curly wigs?
Well, that’s exactly what happened to Ahmet’s family when they arrived from Turkey on Saturday!
Ahmet and his wife have been here for 20 years but his parents came in on the most glorious of days and appeared to love every minute of it while trying to figure out exactly what they got themselves into!

Marie said that there are pictures out there of her brother Gordie in matching outfits with a bunch of other people… so if you were wearing this lovely blue kaftan and have pictures with this very tall and ridiculous man… please put them in the comments. 💕

The power of Jenn…
Debbie and I met these two lovely ladies Saturday night at the romp. They told us about how they had been looking for a Mrs Roper’s Romp to participate in but the ones they came across were all solely pub crawls without a charity attached… and then they came across ours and decided this was the one. They donated, booked a room and planned a three day vacation around it.
Sue and Tina made the drive from Nova Scotia… and I know others did but what makes this story a bit more unique is that they explained where they were from and said they were coming to the brunch the following morning and that we’d see them there…
My mom’s cousin (from BC that now lives in NS) messaged me to say that one of her friends went to the romp and met me. I asked who it was and it’s these ladies!! Out of 600 Helens and we bumped into them at the romp and again at the brunch!!
Now here’s something else that is so sweet about Sue and Tina…. They stayed until Monday so they could continue to get to as many of the businesses that support the romp as they could! Isn’t that incredible?!
We can’t wait to see them again next year!

Thank you so much to Big Tide Brewing Co. For donating back to the Romp in Jenn’s name for their signature drink Jenn’s Gin, The Blue Pelican’s Jill for donating her tips from face painting, Pandemonium Steel Band, Saint John for donating their tip box back to our cancer page and 162 Princess Street Tattoo who took us over the $20k mark for this year’s romp by donating 70% of proceeds from the tattoos Saturday of over $1200!
Every act of kindness contributes to keeping the Romp alive so my sister’s memory never dies …. As well as honouring all of those we Romp for. 💕

How terrible are we to forget to thank 97.3 The Wave and Country 94 for their support!
We must have just been so lightheaded after finally getting Nesta Matthews to the romp that it slipped our minds! 💕
Seriously though, thank you all so much for getting through the radio waves and helping us exceed our goals again this year!
