Dubbo Film Society The Dubbo Film Society is a not-for-profit film appreciation community group which has been operating since 1989.

The Society's aim is to bring quality films to an audience which is looking for a cinematic experience beyond the mainstream line of films on show at the commercially run cinemas. Get out and see the French Film Festival at Readings Cinemas. Last night’s opening film “The Stranger” had all the hallmarks of why French directors make such intriguing and beautiful films. Plenty more to see this weekend. Get out and support Alliance Francais’s promotion of French cinema to the region.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of David Stratton today.

We were fortunate to have David curate and attend our 30th anniversary screening in 2019, a truly special occasion made even more memorable by his presence, insight, and generosity of spirit.

Pictured here with our 2019 committee, David’s passion for cinema and his support for film lovers everywhere will never be forgotten.

Vale David Stratton, a remarkable man who inspired generations to watch, love, and celebrate film 🎬❤️

In 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬, Arisa Nakano delivers a quietly compelling performance as Hirayama’s free-spirited niece, setting a beautiful contrast to his orderly life 🎥🌿

Nakano’s natural presence adds emotional depth to the film, capturing the tender connection between two very different generations.

Perfect Days is the first film of our double feature screening.
