Under the Gender Responsive Disaster Risk Reduction in Bangladesh (GRDRRIB) Project, a public awareness Pot Song campaign was organized on 21 June 2026 as part of the activity “Launch 6 Public Campaigns:Embankments Save Lives – Women Lead the Change.” The event took place in the afternoon at the Jhapa Bastati Puja Mandap premises in Padmapukur Union, Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira District.
The Pot Song highlighted the importance of embankment protection in coastal areas, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and the leadership and participation of women in disaster management. The event attracted the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of people from all walks of life, including local representatives, women, men, youth, teachers, and students.
Through its engaging performances and awareness-focused messages, the Pot Song campaign played an important role in increasing public awareness about embankment protection, disaster preparedness, and gender equality.
