Colby’s Army is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that helps people with life challenges through out Our organic garden feeds hungry people.

At our sustainable farm-based learning center in Ashland City, Tennessee, our therapeutic riding and equine assisted activities provide learning opportunities for veterans, homeless and recently housed, people with disabilities, and others with life challenges. And, we also perform homeless outreach, and give backpacks stocked with toiletries, and first aid and street supplies to those in need. Individually we make a difference, together we are changing the world.

We had a wonderful equine assisted learning session this morning, partnering with The Sage Horse. What a great group of women, horses, (and yes, the cat). Thanks also to our volunteers, who helped make this happen.

Our street outreach team also enjoys taking care of dogs and cats who live with our unhoused friends. Seeing this one is a highlight of our week.

"What kind of flowers are those?" everyone asks. "They're beautiful!" They are. And they are the artificial kind. We got tired of the county spraying on the road and killing our blooms, so tried this instead.

TBT: This was our first mounting block. We didn't have funds for a ramp or a traditional step mounting block, so we made this one out of pallets and then asked our participants what color we should paint it. This is what they came up with. We had this mounting block for three or four years. It was a lot sturdier than it looks!

We are in desperate need of men's jeans and shorts sizes 30-36, sunscreen, t-shirts sizes M and L, athletic shoes and flip flops of all adult sizes, men and women. We cannot take any other clothing items at this time but if you have any of these items, we and our unhoused friends would be very grateful. Drop off this week is 11-5 Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. 1394 George Boyd Road, Ashland City. Please share if you can. THANK YOU!!!
