Our Executive Director, Jennifer Nichols, was recently interviewed by WCNC about the trade labor shortage and how Aspire Trade High School is helping to train skilled workers. Aspire Trade High School is a free charter high school in Huntersville that will allow students to graduate with both a high school diploma and a trade certification!

Students at Aspire Trade High School will get their diploma and a job opportunity upon graduation as leaders seek solutions to the trade worker shortage.

There are tremendous opportunities and careers available in trade and technical jobs and a high labor shortage for those positions right now. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Halton. Dale was both a friend and a tremendous supporter of Aspire Carolinas Foundation, The Halton School, and Aspire Trade High School. She gave generously of her time to help our non-profit, in addition to substantial philanthropic support.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Charlotte.
