𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Burauen Comprehensive National High School Senior Scouting Organization Outfit 180 held its monthly outfit meeting in the ICT Room on Saturday, April 11.

The meeting discussed future activities and the preparation for the upcoming Board of Review. The outfit also brainstormed ideas for the upcoming Recruitment Season this coming enrollment week for the next academic year.

Said meeting was also supposed to conduct the election of officers for the upcoming academic year, but was unable to reach the minimum number required for the election to proceed.

Congratulations to our first engineer, our very own Engineer John Rovic C. Donaire, for successfully passing the March 2026 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination, with results released last April 7, 2026.

Eagle Scout Donaire, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with specialization in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) at Visayas State University, completed his degree in 2025.

Your BCNHS Senior Scouting Organization Outfit 180 family is proud of this remarkable milestone. May you continue to serve as a beacon of inspiration to our younger scouts and strive for the greater good of our community.

𝟴𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻

On the 9th of April, the Burauen Comprehensive National High School Senior Scouting Organization Outfit 180 joined together with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Leyte Council in the 84th Commemoration of the Araw ng Kagitingan at the MacArthur Shrine, Government Center, Cadahug, Palo, Leyte.

On this significant day, our Scouts participated in the commemorative program with solemn respect, honoring the valor and sacrifices of our Filipino heroes during World War II. Their presence reflected their commitment to patriotism and to the principles of scouting, especially the duty to country and service to others.

May this commemoration continue to inspire each of us to embody courage, resilience, and love for nation. As we remember the bravery of our heroes, let us carry forward their legacy through our actions and dedication to service.

𝗗𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗱 | 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆

The BCNHS Senior Scouting Organization - Outfit 180 solemnly joined the Christian faithful in observing Good Friday, a day of reflection on the passion, sacrifice, and boundless love of our Lord.

On this sacred day, our Scouts actively participated in the religious procession, walking with reverence, discipline, and unity as a manifestation of our Duty to God and our commitment to the twelfth point of the Scout Law: “A Scout is Reverent.”

May this solemn observance deepen our faith and inspire us to live a life of service, guided by love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion. As we wait in hope for the joy of resurrection, let us carry forward the lessons of this day in our actions and in our hearts.

𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The BCNHS Senior Scouting Organization - Outfit 180, joined the worldwide celebration of Earth Hour 2026 yesterday, March 28.

Founded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), this global initiative aims to raise awareness on climate change and encourage individuals to take part in protecting our planet through simple yet meaningful actions.

As members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, it is part of our duty to promote environmental stewardship and lead by example in caring for our community and the Earth.

Together, we made a stand by turning off our lights and turning on our commitment to a better future. Small actions, when done collectively, create a big impact.

Let us continue to be part of the change.

In observance of World Water Day, the BCNHS Senior Scouting Organization Outfit 180 successfully conducted a Clean-Up Drive along the riverbanks of the Daguitan River today, March 22, 2026.

This initiative reflects the scouts’ unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and the protection of our local ecosystems. As advocates for sustainable freshwater management, we aimed to make a lasting impact and inspire the community to protect our natural resources.

As members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, we remain committed to being catalysts of change and champions of environmental responsibility.

𝗕𝗖𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗼

Last February 2, 2026, selected scouts from the BCNHS Senior Scouting Organization Outfit 180, ES Christel C. Binatac, and ES Levron James S. Barrera participated in the celebration of World Wetland Day at Barangay Mahagnao, Burauen.

The event gathered student leaders and public servants united by a shared commitment to environmental protection and stewardship.

Organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Burauen through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) and the Mahagnao Volcano Natural Park–Protected Area Management Office (MVNP–PAMO), this activity aimed to raise crucial awareness about the ecological importance of our wetlands and promote sustainable conservation practices through various discussions and activities in celebration of World Wetland Day.

As members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, it is a scout's job to take an active role in protecting our natural resources and be the agent of change for tomorrow.

We thank the DENR, PENRO, the LGU of Burauen, and the MVNP-PAMO for the opportunity to serve, learn, and contribute to the preservation of our natural heritage.

𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗟 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗨𝗠 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Last February 12-13, 2026, the Burauen Comprehensive National High School Senior Scouting Organization Outfit 180 participated in the Council Scout Youth Forum together with other scouts across the Leyte Council. The Senior Scouts of BCNHS had a total of 21 participants who showed their bright minds and empowering ideas that a scout can offer. Our very own former Council Scout Representative (24-25), Venturer Scout Roreza Thadea A Raga, was the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for this year’s Council Scout Youth Forum.

The Scout Youth Forum is one of many significant events that is conducted annually by every council. In this activity, scouts determine various problems in our society and are given the opportunity to propose solutions for them through the SPEAR Method. Through a number of plenary sessions and proceedings, which deliberate the efficacy of a proposal, many groups are eliminated until the very best remains.

In this event, two (2) Council Scout Representatives are also selected to serve as a voice for all scouts in the council and serve a one-year term as a member in the Leyte Council Executive Board. This year, we are proud to present one of the CSRs of the Leyte Council, who was also the voting delegate from last year’s Regional Scout Youth Forum, Eagle Scout Christel C. Binatac. Alongside her, who was also elected as a Council Scout Representative, is Zachie Novio of Buyogan Community Scouts.

ES Levron James S. Barrera was also elected as a voting delegate for the Regional Scout Youth Forum. Both ES Binatac and ES Barrera will be representing the Leyte Council in the upcoming Regional Scout Youth Forum. The entire BCNHS Scouting Unit is proud of you, and good luck on your journey ahead.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁.

On February 22, the Scouting community commemorates Founder’s Day in honor of Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, whose vision established a movement grounded in character formation, responsible citizenship, and service to others. Their leadership laid the foundation for what is now known worldwide as the World Organization of the Scout Movement.

Founder’s Day, therefore, serves not merely as a historical remembrance but as a renewal of purpose. It calls each Scout to reflect on personal conduct, leadership, and service, recognizing that meaningful change begins with individual accountability. The enduring relevance of Scouting lies in its insistence that character is formed through consistent choices—choices that, collectively, contribute to the betterment of communities, nations, and the world.

As we live this day, may we reaffirm our Promise, embody the principles entrusted to us, and strive to leave a legacy defined not by words alone, but by measurable acts of integrity and service.

The BCNHS Senior Scouting Organization Outfit 180 conducted the Institutional Scout Youth Forum at Burauen Comprehensive National High School. Scouts have joined the forum body to display the bright minds and empowering ideas they have to offer.

The Scout Youth Forum is one of many significant events that is conducted annually by every council. On this occasion, scouts can determine various problems in our society and are allowed to propose solutions for them through the SPEAR Method. Through several proceedings, which deliberate the efficacy of a proposal, many groups are eliminated until the very best remains.

"𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞, 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡."

The BCNHS Senior Scouting Organization, together with the Senior Girl Scouts, conducted a Team Building Activity last January 3 at Camp Kawayan, Brgy. Balorinay, Burauen, Leyte.

The BCNHS Scouting Organization conducted games that can enhance their cooperation as a crew. Engaging in team-building activities fosters a sense of camaraderie among group members, promoting effective communication and collaboration.

By understanding each other's strengths and weaknesses, the Scouts can enhance their teamwork and build a foundation of trust, ultimately contributing to a more progressive and successful organization.
