Capoeira Sunsets. More of this please! 🌊🍃🌅

24/04/2026

Mark and Ian (both in their early 20s) grew up with BANTU, starting Capoeira Angola 10 years ago. Today, they both have stable careers in formal economy jobs.

Today, thanks to our supporters, BANTU is on track to produce more successes just like them! Message us if you'd like to get involved! 🚀🚀🚀

Took the kids for a special day outside the city to soak up some sun, good vibes, a healthy dose of nature and community!

Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Together, we're keeping these kids off the streets and on the path to success 🌊🏖✨️

In Capoeira Angola, you play. But the pressure is real. That's the point.

How you move under pressure — in the Roda, in life — that's the lesson 🔥🔥🔥

You don't pull kids off the street by telling them what's good for them. You do it by offering them something better. More and more at-risk kids in our community — out of school, in gangs — are choosing CASA BANTU. Attendance is up. The strategy is working. 🎮🔥

March, as always at BANTU, was a month of movement—on the courts, in the roda, and in our community.

We celebrated Women’s Month through volleyball games, a make-up tutorial, and a panel of women leaders—creating space, paving the way, and allowing our girls to step forward, shine, and be seen.

We stayed active with basketball games and strengthened our network through visits from partners and friends from ADB, the Yale Club of the Philippines, and more—continuing to build bridges that will create real opportunities for the community.

We also began a promising collaboration with the Asian Institute of Management—one we believe will grow into a meaningful and lasting partnership.

And we celebrated a milestone: 21 years of Capoeira under Contra Mestre Jaime—years of discipline, dedication, and commitment to shaping the next generation.

At CASA BANTU, every day is about building something better—creating a space where young people can grow, belong, and move forward.

Thank you to all of our supporters. You help us carry this work forward each month. Together, we’re going far. 💥🚀👊🏽

✨ Glow Up Day at CASA BANTU. Super makeup artist turned our little space into a studio and gave our kids a lesson on beauty, confidence, style, and personal care. 💅

Shoutout to for putting this together 🙌
