2ND Opportunity, LLC. We work with nonprofit organizations and public agencies to enhance and supplement existing programs that focus on training and life skill development.

Mike Owens met Augie Ghilarduci in a prison waiting room. Augie was 8 months shy of completing his 12-year sentence. Augie was active in a Community Outreach Program that was offered through the prison. Since 2009, Augie had presented to students at local universities, and to business and leadership groups. Augie researched and created the "Values-Aligned Goal Setting" class as he saw a need to gr

eatly enhance his preparedness and that of his peers, as they transition to their families' and communities once they left the prison system. Fully aware of his background, Mike hired Augie to serve as Director of Training and Development once Augie was released. The combination of Mike's employment search firm, the Owens' family passion to provide resources to those with barriers to employment (Cara) and the Corporate Training & Development programs initiated through Augie, that these programs became customized and offered to Not for Profit and Government Sponsored Work Force Development organizations.
