EBay weekly find! Pretty plates on walls are making a stylish comeback.

Have you noticed? Interior designers and stylists are embracing decorative plate walls once again, using vintage or antique ceramics and pottery to create characterful displays that feel curated and personal.

What was once considered old-fashioned is now firmly back on trend, with collectors hunting for unique pieces to mix into gallery walls.

We love introducing new items regularly, especially for our returning visitors, so there’s always something different to discover.

Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift, a unique keepsake, or a little treat for yourself, why not pop in and have a browse?

Our gift shop is located at the sanctuary entrance, so you’re welcome to visit even if you’re not planning a trip around the sanctuary. However, we’d love you to stay, enjoy a wander, spot some of our animals, and perhaps treat yourself to something from the café Perdidaatferne too. ☕

Every purchase helps support the animals in our care and the vital work we do.

Treasure Hunt (QR code adventure) – Follow the clues, scan the QR codes, and uncover facts about the sanctuary!
Perdida cafe – Take a break and treat yourself to a delicious lunch, drinks, cakes, and snacks from the lovely Perdida Café.

Some sad news this week. 💔

We have said a final farewell to our beautiful big girl, Billie.

Many of you who have visited us over the years, or joined one of our tours will remember seeing her happily foraging, cooling off in the wallow on a hot day, or enjoying a well-earned belly rub - something she absolutely loved.

Sadly, her little joints could no longer carry her, and her pain relief was becoming less effective. So, on a beautiful sunny day, with the warmth of the sun on her back, we made the difficult decision to say goodbye.

Billie will be greatly missed by all of us. She was the sweetest girl, and we are so grateful for the joy she brought to our sanctuary during her seven years with us, and to everyone who met her along the way.
