March 1st is the World Wildlife Day 🐾🌱!

On 20 December 2013, at its 68th session, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) decided to proclaim 3 March, the day of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), as World Wildlife Day, which was proposed by Thailand, to celebrate and raise awareness of the world's wild fauna and flora.

To celebrate our fauna and flora diversity, what action can you take today to help preserve it?

February 27 is International Polar Bear Day! 🐾

It is organized by Polar Bears International to raise awareness about the impact of global warming and reduced sea ice on polar bear populations.

The day encourages people to find ways to reduce their carbon output, such as by turning down their thermostat or driving less.

The day has also been used to encourage the installation of energy efficient insulation in houses.

More and more people around the world live in cities. Do you feel an urge to reconnect with nature? How about doing so in the Philippines?

This program involves a non-profit that engages out-of-school-youth (OSY) in urban and rural areas to restore unique natural resources with a holistic approach. Through a goal-based residential program, the OSY undergo experiential learning projects in trail building, bioengineering, plant cultivation, and organic farming, while building an educational nature park at the site.

Did you see that we have a brand new destination for you?

What do you know about Ghana?

It is an ideal place to explore fresh fruit and vegetable markets, taste the delicious fried plantains seasoned with chili pepper and ginger, and stroll busy streets in a country where the sun almost always shines.

Women wrapped in colorful West African fabrics and people playing draughts (a game similar to checkers) in courtyards or cafés provide just a slice of the diverse Ghanaian people.

There are 52 ethnic groups in the ten regions of this country—making it easy to find a variety of traditional festivals and ceremonies to attend.

February 17, also known as Random Act of Kindness Day 😇, is a day to practice kindness and pay it forward.

When volunteering in your community or another, you are led to help and support people. But you don't need to be a volunteer to be kind!

Feel free to praise yourself by giving some kindness to others around you today.
