What a fantastic way to wrap up the school year at Flint Cultural Center Academy!

Our End-of-the-Year Celebration brought together scholars, families, staff, and community partners for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and lasting memories. Scholars enjoyed jump rope challenges, tug-of-war, corn hole, water games, tattoos, and so much more!

A special thank you to our amazing partners Beautified, the Boy Scouts, and Mr. Nuby of 475 Elite for helping make the event a success. Families also enjoyed a delicious dinner from Roma's and sweet treats from Hav A Bar while spending quality time with their scholars.

The smiles, friendly competition, and family connections made this a perfect celebration of a successful year in our After School Program. Here's to a fun and exciting summer ahead!

Growing knowledge from the ground up! 🍅🌱

Our Flint Cultural Center Academy Garden Club scholars have been hard at work tending to their garden and learning valuable lessons about sustainability, responsibility, and healthy living through the After School Program.

About 10 second-grade scholars planted and cared for a variety of vegetables and herbs, including tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, oregano, and green, yellow, and red peppers. They even learned how natural materials like coffee grounds, banana peels, and eggshells can help enrich the soil and support healthy plant growth!

We can't wait to see the fruits (and vegetables!) of their hard work later this summer!

What a way to wrap up the school year!

The Freeman and Potter Elementary Thrive On programs partnered to host an unforgettable End-of-the-Year Luau Blast at Bluebell Beach, bringing together scholars, families, and staff for an evening full of fun, connection, and celebration.

More than 60 participants enjoyed BBQ, beach play, the splash pad, bounce houses, music, dancing, and Kona Ice treats while celebrating a successful year of learning and growth. Families had the opportunity to connect with one another, build relationships with program staff, and learn more about exciting summer programming opportunities.

The smiles, laughter, and positive energy throughout the event made it clear that this was more than just a celebration, it was a chance to strengthen school-community connections, recognize scholar accomplishments, and create lasting memories together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special event. Here's to a great summer ahead!

"A Family Affair" was a night to remember at Dailey Elementary!

More than 157 family members joined us for an evening dedicated to celebrating the families who make our school community so special. From dancing and laughter to creativity and connection, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

Families captured memories with on-the-spot photos thanks to FOCUS Media, enjoyed beautiful decor and a candy table provided by Kapri Kreations, danced the night away with DJ Hype, and learned new moves with Sharneese Jones of STOP Fitness. Guests also created their own terrariums, enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by QDOBA, and had the chance to win some amazing raffle prizes.

Thank you to all of our partners, families, and supporters who helped make this Parent and Child Time Activity such a wonderful celebration of community, connection, and appreciation. We loved spending the evening with you!

Thrive-On McMonagle makes beautiful music!

On May 29, 2026 Thrive-On McMonagle hosted its end-of-year violin performance!

Since September 2025, Thrive-On McMonagle scholars have been working hard to learn, and thrive, playing the violin. At the end of the year, a combination of veteran and new violin scholars took the stage to show what they have learned. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and school faculty gathered to listen to the scholars play. The applause was tremendous as the scholars played beautifully from start to finish.

What a great night at McMonagle!

Thanks to all of the great scholars and parents for being a part of the Thrive-On McMonagle experience. Here's to next year at Thrive-On McMonagle!
