Keys & Cleats Keys & Cleats uses sports and entertainment to help prevent crime and sexual activities amongst youth. A 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization

Keys and Cleats (KC) is a non-profit organization that is built around the youth’s interest in sports and entertainment. We are devoted to stimulating interests in these industries in an effort to promote crime prevention for the area. KC was established by Shalon Roberts and Courtney Mincey, the two noticed a trend with troubled youth, sports and entertainment would always straighten their path. However, they only thought in those particular industries only the ‘star’ exists, not realizing all the other professions. For instance, a child may see a famous basketball player and want to be like them, but they may have a niche at math and not necessarily the physical skills. They can take those arithmetic skills, passion for sports and become a sports accountant. Keys and Cleats nurtures natural talent with seminars, meetings, and summer camps for participants. Keys and Cleats also work with current and past professionals in both industries. Our organization will show them with real life projects, conferences, and events how much work and dedication it takes to succeed in both the entertainment and sport industries. Our mission is to help encourage children to look beyond the obvious and to help them discover these other careers within sports and entertainment. If it is truly their passion to be in the forefront, KC will be the organization to help educate, motivate, and guide them to success. Keys and Cleats is built on the foundation that children should always be encouraged to go after their dreams. And we want to help them do that.
