Interdenominational Ministers' Wives & Widows Council of Los Angeles Sisterhood We are like fine pearls: We come in every size, shape, and color and each of us have unique values.

Being a Ministers’ Wife or Ministers’ Widow is one of the most challenging endeavors women of God will face; yet it doesn’t diminish our beauty or strengths. We celebrate our diversity and recognize our beauty and strength are magnified when we are together: like a string of pearls whose light and brilliance are reflected off each other. We believe and confess our sisterhood is that strand that un

ites and brings out the best in us. With this in mind our visionary founder and first president Mrs. Maude Ethel Watkins, brought together 45 beautiful pearls from various denominations on March 8, 1931 and established through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the first Ministers’ Wives organization in Los Angeles, California called the Interdenominational Ministers’ Wives Council of Los Angeles (later named the Interdenominational Ministers’ Wives and Widows’ Council of Los Angeles and Vicinity).
