The Midwinter Conference of Immunologists was founded in 1961 by a small group of Immunologists, among them Drs. Dan Campbell and Ray Owen. The goal of the Midwinter Conference is to provide a forum where the newest developments in Immunology can be shared with colleagues and communicated to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in a relaxed environment. One of the major objectives is to stim

ulate interaction between graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and established Immunologists during the meeting. To facilitate the interaction between participants, the Asilomar Conference Center was chosen for the conferences since 1963. Asilomar is a California State Park located on the Monterey Peninsula and provides a beautiful environment to hold a conference. It consists of separate buildings in a park-like setting with ocean views and includes a lecture hall, large and small conference rooms and on-site housing. Since meals are included in the conference package, the conferees associate at meal times. The Council Members of the Midwinter Conference select scientific organizers to develop the program based on their expertise in a particular area of Immunology. Plenary sessions are scheduled in the mornings and evenings with poster sessions in the late afternoons. Posters are on display for the duration of the conference and two evening receptions take place in the same rooms as the posters. This facilitates interactions among the attendees and encourages students to present their work. http://www.midwconfimmunol.org/

Poster abstract submission deadline is December 13th. Abstracts will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of 130 posters.
