Sa Japan, noong panahon ng digmaan, karga-karga ng batang ito ang kanyang patay na kapatid sa kanyang likuran upang ilibing siya. Napansin siya ng isang sundalo at hiniling na ihagis ang patay na bata para hindi siya mapagod. Sumagot siya, "Hindi siya mabigat, kapatid ko siya!" Naunawaan ng sundalo at napaluha.

Simula noon, ang imaheng ito ay naging simbolo ng pagkakaisa sa Japan. Hayaan itong maging motto natin:

"Hindi siya mabigat. Kapatid ko siya, kapatid ko siya."

Kung siya ay bumagsak, itaas siya. Kahit pagod ka, tulungan mo siya. At kung mahina ang kanyang suporta, At kung siya ay nagkamali, patawarin mo siya. At kung iwanan siya ng mundo, buhatin mo siya sa iyong likod, dahil hindi siya mabigat kapatid mo siya.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Therefore we do not lose heart.
