🔥 New research from Fire Ecology shows that prescribed fire can do more than reduce fuels—it can increase biodiversity. A study of temperate dry grasslands found that late-winter controlled burns, especially when some shrubs are left in place, boosted the diversity of spiders and ground beetles, including species of conservation concern.
