Lyman Youth Football & Cheer "The Hounds" Who We Are
Lyman Youth Football Association, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization operating under the Pop Warner football and cheerleading organization.

We offer full contact tackle youth football and competitive cheerleading programs. These programs not only teach the fundamentals of football and cheerleading, they also stress that teamwork, safety and hard work are the keys to achieving your goals. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer program whose coaches undergo nationally certified, ongoing hands on and classroom training. Who We Serve
LYFA is f

ortunate enough to serve in Seminole County. This allows us to reach a diverse, multicultural group of families and make a great impact in their lives. Unfortunately, the area and those we serve are largely underprivileged. We face numerous obstacles even before these young athletes take the field. From at-risk youth to single parent households and everything in between. To the kids, LYFA offers a safe haven a few hours a week for a few months out of the year. And to the parents, it brings a little peace of mind knowing that their children are in a positive, life affirming environment that provides them not just role models but a chance to learn about life through the love of the sport. Looking Ahead
LYFA does not only want to serve the community as a football and cheerleading organization. We want to be the cornerstone of the community and serve it in a way that reinforces our commitment to the individual and the whole. Knowing that an athlete is much more than what you see on the field, LYFA is poised to offer new community programs through the organization in order to build the child from the inside out. By providing assistance with academics, character building and personal growth, we are reasserting our commitment to not just the athlete but also the student. Currently, the plan is to identify those athletes that might be at risk of underperforming in the classroom and provide weekly tutoring sessions to fill the gaps in their education using their love of the sport as an additional motivation. As we build our community, we want to ensure that our student athletes understand the part they play in doing so. Community clean up days will be held throughout the season. LYFA participants will head out to their surrounding areas to help clean up and meet the residents that support us and our efforts. Being conscious of the community that we serve, we will be making a commitment of 100 football/cheerleading scholarships to give to those that have the determination but not the dollars to participate in the program. Our 12th Player
Without a strong bench, we will never make it. Your contribution to LYFA will ensure that these plans will come to fruition and give both the student athletes and their community the stepping stones they need as they build their success. If you have a calling to positively impact a community and make a difference in the life of child, then we will look forward to hearing about your level of financial commitment to LYFA. Welcome to the team!
