Sacred Earth is an Indigenous women-led organization dedicated to advancing a just transition for Indigenous communities aiming to reduce dependency on fossil fuels and build resilience in the face of climate change. The seasoned team works in solidarity with Indigenous Nations who are at the frontlines of ongoing struggle against extractivism and climate change, as well as healing justice, language revitalization, and cultural resilience.
The Canadian Prescribed Fire Training Program (CPFTP) is a national initiative co-developed by the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus and the Weston Family Foundation, supported by Regional Leads and partners across Canada. CPFTP's work is organized across five regions, ensuring training is informed by local ecological conditions while aligned through shared national standards. Its mission is to build understanding and advance the safe, effective use of prescribed fire through specialized training.
