But soon it will no longer be a drill.
If there comes a time when you can no longer rely on government or corporate comforts, are you prepared to care for yourself?
When extreme weather takes its toll, are you prepared to migrate and live off grid?
Would you know how to survive off grid in extreme temperatures?
Recommendations:
Now is the time to downsize. Purchase a RV (preferably one you can hitch on a truck so you can use the truck to get around while leaving camper or RV at a site. Make sure you have alternative power like solar panels and/or generators and survival accessories.
To much?
Now is the time to downsize and find a good vehicle like a van or large sedan or SUV and have solar panels and/or generators and survival accessories.
Too much?
Now is the time to downsize to a motorcycle or bike and invest in weather proof tents with solar power and/or Generators and survival accessories.
Now is the time to find a place outside of the metro area you can go to in case the shut hits the fan and your surrounded by those who did not take the time to prepare.
Now is the time to train yourself to start eating vegetables and fruit because meat may not be available and if so may not be healthy and it's also a good time to be starting a garden and to doing some research on how you could sustain a garden in all weather conditions. These days you don't need a yard to grow fruits and vegetables. You don't want to start growing your garden when the s*** hits the fan you want to be one step ahead. Some people have stocked up on canned food and survival foods which is a good thing but even that'll eventually run out.
A person should prepare for long-term. Not just a couple of days or a couple of weeks.
The city is the last place you want to be if this happens. Also, you may need to migrate.
Where would I go? Someplace with shade. In the woods or forest near a stream of water. Others have found caves with deep caverns where the temp stays pretty stable. They have it rigged with a long cord and attach them to solar panels they set outside.
No sunlight for solar panels? You won't need it. Loop incandescent fluorescent bulbs to your solar panels that can be used to charge solar cells, provided the light is strong enough for best results but any artificial light should do the trick.
It should go without saying that you will need weapons to protect yourself but I will mention it anyway.
Now is the time to start stacking cash and leaving only enough to pay bills and some other things in your digital accounts in case for whatever reason the digital markets no longer are available.
No one can deny that the world is changing. Be one of those who prepared.
